Diet after delivery for breastfeeding moms

Today I am going to talk about diet after delivery for breastfeeding moms, what to eat and not to eat after pregnancy.

When I gave birth to my first child, from the first day I was stuck to a strict diet, but in spite of this nutrition, my kid was very restless, often cried. Nothing helped … I just wasted my time, I could eat so much tasty food  … Then a month later I decided to stop my diet and slowly started to eat everything. But after that my troubles were not over.

The baby was still crying, and only after 3 months our son stopped crying. Later I read that intestinal cramps are most often the result of ordinary immaturity of the gastrointestinal tract with infants, but not because of the “wrong” nutrition.

After such experience with my first child, with the second baby, I decided not to stick to a strict diet and immediately after discharge from the hospital, I began to eat fresh vegetables and fruit. Especially at that time it was the heat of the summer, and really wanted to eat everything. It’s hard to sit on a diet at this time of the year … My second son was calm from his birth and did not react to my varied diet.

When I gave birth to my third child, even in the hospital I did not eat heat treated meals. I only abstained from food, which provokes flatulence and allergy. Immediately after delivery, I mostly ate sprouted green buckwheat in warm form, yogurt, apples, peaches, bananas, greens, beat  and even tried tomatoes. In the hospital everybody were surprised at my diet after delivery, “Why do they bring you raw fruit and vegetables ? You can not eat them ! The baby wil have a stomachache …. “. But Karina behaved like all newborns with no signs of crams.

When I was discharged from the hospital, I gradually started to eat all allergenic food and products which cause flatulence . My daughter did not react to them. She was calm, like my second child. In my next articles I will publish lists of allergenic food and products which cause flatulence.  In the end, I came to the conclusion – that all the mothers should not sit on a strict diet and try gradually eat fresh vegetables and fruit. After all, the child and the mother need vitamins to be healthy.
